About

Hi! My name is Mitra Farmand, I’m in my 30s and I live in Somerville, Mass. Two things I never do: wear shirts with buttons or go to the zoo. If you see someone wearing a button down shirt at the zoo, that is not me. Feel free to stalk me! I have more cartoons on my Flickr page and a blog.

Hi Marco,
Thanks!
I do them on the computer. I have a WACOM pad. I can’t draw with a mouse.

Mitra,
Your cartoons are really funny. I hope it’s okay to use one to illustrate my post today. I will provide a link to your site. If not, please let me know and I’ll take it down immediately. Thanks!

Dear Fuffernutter, I got to your site by pure happenstance. Your work is a treat. I was searching Google Images for pictures of weebles for a blog post I want to write….something about being a life-long weeble who is now a lot slower to wooble.
The weeble image–call 911– is perfect for what I want to write, and I am wondering if you’d give me permission to use it, naturally with a link to your site and whatever art credit you’d like. You can see my blog at http://skywriter.wordpress.com.
Congratulations on a wonderful collection! Donna Cunningham

Oh, PS, I forgot to include my email for you to let me know about the weeble cartoon. It’s moonmave@spiritone.com.

I really like your work. I work for a non-profit and we are going to have a bowling tournament / fundraiser next month and I was wondering if we could use the bowling pins on strike image for the free t-shirt participants get? If so, let me know what we can do in turn to promote your work.
Kind Regards,
Scott

Love your work. I’ll be returning to your site. Just wondering though, what software do you use for your drawings? – Derek
fuffer said
Hi Derek,
I use Photoshop Elements. It’s the $90 version of Photoshop. I used to use CorelDraw. I think it came with my drawing tablet.
Glad you like the cartoons!

Great blog. You have a wonderful sense of humor. I was cracking up all over the place (that may have two different meanings–one internal and one external…). How long have you been drawing cartoons?

Thanks varundhanda!
Will, thanks so much! I’ve been drawing them for about 3 years. It’s so fun.
